We all appreciate the one day extension but you do realize that the event was already very tight to win all the free outfits?
The 2h waiting times plus low drop rates and the bugs that this event already had and still has, made a lot of players unable to collect shells on several occasions (my unlucky self included). It would only be fair to make it a little longer even without this bug today and I aint sure if one single day will do much honestly..at least stress level wise it doesn't help xD
All the best of luck finishing the event everyone!

The problem here even with this extension is that one day in August is equal to two days in September. Why? School, work, jobs, etc. I think that Beemoov realized this, but didn't bother. Typical... I have a problem too. I don't have much time during the day, and I have 3 European server accounts. I'm in EST zone, so at midnight in the European servers, I do all the minigames. Then again 2 hours later. Then 2 hours later at 10:00 EST right before I go to bed. Thanks, Beemoov.

I want to feel happy about the one day extension but I'm not. I work 8 hours during the day so I was a bit irritated during the morning because I always have time to do two rounds before work and then about three rounds when I come back home. I've only been able to do one round today and that was on my lunchbreak. I have no idea how many times I will be able to play when my courses at university starts in late august.
They need to start thinking about the age group they are targeting when creating their events. I want to say that maybe 80-90 % of the users are either in school/university or are working. Having an event in which you have to log in every 2 hours 5 times a day is stressful. Especially when you have to consider all the other stuff you need to do when you live alone like cooking meals, doing laundry, going grocery shopping, studying, working part-time etc. I don't expect Beemov to listen to any of our complaints really but it would be nice to be proved wrong once in a while...

They could always think of alternatives or just ASK THEIR USERS (that would be a total SURPRISE)what ideas we can suggest.
I would personally suggest exchanging Maana for playing the mini games if you don't have time. For example, you missed 2 rounds of the 5, so you pay each 20-25 (seems like fair to me). So that the daily Maana you get goes to this event rather than accumulating it, so it sums up to a win-win situation overall.

Ironically people probably wouldn’t even have made such a fuss about the accidental pop up bug if they weren’t so unhappy with the event overall. I’m pretty sure majority of us would have been happy to see past a minor bug if we were having a decent time with the event. But when it seems like all the past couple events- be it mcl or eldarya- are designed to be almost not finishable without paying real money for it, yes I want to jump to conclusions about every little bug being just one more planed scheme to make finishing the event impossible. I‘ve given up on finishing this event days ago, I missed too many shells in the beginning, figuring out how to beat the games and also have a life outside eldarya. Sorry, but checking the time every two hours to see whether I can play the next round of a boring and way to long where‘s-the-shell game (seriously five rounds for two shells? Just give me one or two hard rounds) is not top of my priority list.
I know I‘m ranting and there‘s also good things about this event but right now I‘m too frustrated with Eldarya to list or think of any of them.

So to get one outfit you only have to log in and play once a day.
To get two outfits you need to play the game three times a day.
You get all three outfits if you play the games 5 times a day.
How is this unfair? If you don't have time to invest; get one outfit. If you have limited time to spare get two. If you dedicate your time you'll get three.
They reward people whom are very active, a lot of games does that, it's not unreasonable nor unfair.
You guys are really something, you don't want to spend money to get outfits and you don't want to spend time to get the outfits, you just want them handed to you with no requirements and ofc this makes the devs bad guys, sounds very reasonable.

It's not that we want it handed to us, so much as the devs understanding that a lot of their players are adults who have adult commitments throughout the day, like jobs that take anywhere from 8-12 hours of our time, where we can't be getting on a fun game site every two hours.
We're willing to put in some effort, but at the end of the day this is a GAME, and shouldn't demand so much of our time or money to finish.

Well no..games in general actually are often quite time consuming and especially games similar to this often require a lot of time or a lot of money to get stuff.
I'm surprised it's been this easy to get special event stuff so far.
I get why you think it's unfair but i also think that that is a very subjective opinion and reflect your personal feelings more than rationality.
Again even if you don't have time to play 5 times a day you will still get one or two outfits - fair enough imo.
Would you guys rather have had it behind a paywall? Because that would be the other option for beemove to get an income. This way it is achievable for free even if might not be possible for you in particular, this is a good compromise to get the outfit off the bank.

Yep, that's exactly what we mean, at least most of us imo. Do we ask to get them free? Nope.
I would much prefer to have a chance to buy with "free game currency" aka Maana than to have to put real money for the missed chances due to time inconviniences. And I'm perfectly fine and with 1.5 outfits, that's not the point. The point is to better understand their audience.
And if we talk about fairness, do you consider paying 15 Euros (in my case) fair to be able to get the same 1.5 outfits for this event, when normal much more complicated games cost as much on Steam?

It sounds like you are considering your own subjective opinion as the "rational" one. Since it is based on YOUR thoughts or feelings about the subject, it's no less subjective than mine.
While these events might work for you, they clearly don't work for a large number of other players, and that's not something that should be dismissed just because it doesn't affect you personally. Plenty of people on this topic alone have mentioned the event is not easy for them, and your personal experience or preference does not over-rule theirs. Kindly don't attempt to devalue the opinions of others just because they aren't the same as yours.
Not everyone's lives are structured the same, and being penalized in events because we have real-world responsibilities like children, work, school, or other commitments is what we are finding frustrating. Some of us don't play for the outfits, we play for the illustrations. The only way to get those is to complete the event, so by this model, we're up a creek. You don't have to agree with us, but you don't get to tell us we're not being "rational".

But like if you want them for free currency you are asking for them to be free! You just said exactly that XD
They don't have to understand the audience, they have to make money :P
Again this game is free, if you chose to spend money to get some outfits that is a choice you make.
@Symphony
I didn't say mine was the rational one i'm just saying that since you're obviously upset your emotions definitely are a part of your reasoning.
You seem to be looking from your point of view only not the big picture where beemoov needs to make money to survive and other factors.
I expressed my opinions, even if it's not the same as yours doesn't mean i'm not entitled to them either, and you are doing exactly what you're telling me not to do just so you know so if you think i'm bad then you're just as bad.
You can see it like being half empty or half full, i don't think anyone is being penalized, i think those that are very active are getting rewarded, i still think that's fair even if that clearly makes you very upset because that might mean your side of it might not be the truth even if you really want it to be. Not saying i'm right either but it's probably more like somewhere in the middle than either or.

You're making an assumption about my emotional state though a medium where it is notoriously difficult to accurately portray emotions, and are surprised when I call you on it?
You at no point asked about my feelings, but have instead framed me as "emotional" or "very upset" because I disagreed with you, when all I've done is challenge your view like you have mine. This is a common practice when people wish to dismiss the other argument without respecting it or addressing it. By claiming that I am speaking from a place of emotion and not rationality, you were attempting to frame yourself as an objective party, which you are not. No one in the forum is.
Of course, this is assuming that rationality is even relevant to these discussions, rather than a discussion of player's feelings and opinions about the game. By bringing rationality into it, you were attempting to discredit my opinion, and the opinions of other players who do not share your views about the event.
I at no point said you weren't entitled to your own opinion. But I did call you on doing that to other players. Just because you think an event is fair, because it works for you, does not mean that is is fair or works well for everyone else. You not being penalized does not mean that no one is.
Lastly, whether my opinion is the "truth" or not is irrelevant. It's one opinion among many, and I'm obviously not the only one who feels this way. Again, you don't have to agree with us, but you don't get to dismiss us, either.

Lmao I guess, but I'd rather avoid the hassle altogether I think. I'm pretty busy with class so I'd like to finish this event as fast as possible, and while I appreciate the extra day so we can catch up I just want to get the outfits and then go back to not having to check the site 5 times a day lol. But it was fixed fairly quickly and we were compensated so I can't complain.

Oooh, I'd totally be willing to pay mana. It's one of the things I like about the MCL. I can save up my AP, and then not be chained to the game all day every day of the event. I'd love it if they do something like that on Eldarya, especially since you can buy mana as well. So it's not like it would hurt their business model that much, if at all.

Yes this is a really great idea. It's not like they "hand" out gold to us as a daily reward here on Eldarya like they do on MCL with money... I would personally wish for something like this for season 2, it would make it more reasonable then having to pay gold to continue playing/paying for shells. As of this moment I have 21 gold and that's for saving up for about 2-3 years which is crazy that this is the only currency you can use for continuing. And like you said, they offer Maana at the bank too so people who are still willing to buy for this game could totally just continuing by doing so. I don't think they would loose as much money at all actually.
#369 08/19/2020 at 16:03
I just got thrown out of the Island Olympics game when I was 3 seconds in... I had not even come near any obstacles.
#370 08/19/2020 at 17:11
So... I have not been having the same bugs as other people during this event. I play on the app, so the games have been running just fine and have been giving me the shells properly. The Olympic race game is almost insultingly easy (you just hug one side of the screen for the entire 45 seconds) and you may hit 1-2 obstacles if you are unlucky. The shell game is easy to follow.
IDK what it is with the app, but it seems to be working just fine...

Yep, the app version of the olympics is much more easy, than the web one, which is absurd logic-wise, but oh well, we all benefit from it, so no hard feelings, Beemoov

Did you not read what I wrote? I suggested the chance to play the missed tries (which could have a limit to it, for example max 2 replays of the missed ones) to be paid with Maana. No one stops you buying more from the bank.
In fact, if you do the calculations, you'll see that it is more costly to buy the replays for Maana than to buy the Shells directly with Coins.
1 Shell = 1 Coin = 6 Maana - the model now
1 Replay = 20 Maana = 2 Shells (if you win) = 10 Maana per shell - what I suggested to add
See that?
If players are given a chance to choose between the two, Beemoov marketing team would satisfy both parties.
That's what proper business thinking looks like, satisfying as much portion of the market as possible.
And your claim
clearly shows you know nothing about business. This phrase should never be heard at anyone's business model. They don't have to understand the audience, they have to make money

Well the thing is that they suddenly changed their strategy. One year ago the events were fun and easy to finish.
Now u have to either spend a lot of time or throw a lot of money at them. Which wouldn't even be that big of a deal, if they wouldn't be that greedy and ask for way more money than their product is worth.
I mean, take the last MCL event for example.
100 € for three outfits, bad written dates and five illus? That's nuts and I don't know why anyone would support it.
Putting events out, which r nearly impossible to finish is just getting ur players frustrated until they pay. There is no more fun behind this events.
Same goes for the new "way of moving in the game".
It's nothing but disproportionaly. That's why they won't even get a single Euro from me anymore. U can't treat ur customers like beemoov does all the time.
I have never experienced such bad customer service before. The German sever doesn't even work properly for about 8 hours a day since this event started. And they have done nothing about it by now.
This "strategy" only works, because there aren't very much similar games to the beemoov ones. Still annoying.
Everything Beemoov does as the time goes on is making their games worse and yet ask for even more money.
... and btw. u can't make money long term, if u don't understand and react to ur customers. That's like first term economic knowledge. :'D
Obviously English isn't my mother tongue btw. :'D

EXACTLY.
Do people out there SERIOUSLY think that paying THAT MUCH for plain accessories, cuz that's what outfits are, they are not used as bonus for your level or give some perks like the loot/armor you get from online RPG games (MMOs) that actually CHANGE your experience, they are plain ACCESSORIES.
And before someone starts ranting "So why the hell are you complaining like mad, people? Just don't buy/win anything and play for the story (no matter it'll take you more than 3 years to finish it, it's not like you can't remember the previous chapters after this long)", there are people who are collectors, or who actually like "dressing up" or who use the items to sell them on Market later for obvious reasons.
Now, if you calculate the cost of these accessories for these people, you come up with a sum you could buy 2-4 well known PC/console games that gives you so much more as experience and emotions than this one "free" game, and I'm talking about VNs or otomes, not even the "real" games here.
So NO, Beemoov is out of their minds treating users like never-ending easy cash cows.

Exactly! Eventually, enough word of mouth will keep new players from coming to the game, and the old players will leave because it's not fun anymore. The point of a game is not to make money--it's entertainment. When the entertainment fails, everything else goes downhill.
Games aren't meant to be difficult or stressful.
