How do you get shells from the "take care of the companion?"

it says you can earn "up to 5" and I gave it 3 of one item, but nothing happened after I "gave" it to it.
Should I have gotten a shell when that happened?

No, the way that it works is that you have to give it all 3 separate items, then you get 5 shells. If you don't finish it one day though, it carries on to the next day - they don't reset. (I found out through trial and error on my German account)

Please can someone tell me how to unlock items because now I have 15 shells but still no boutons to trade them with item...

First you have to accumulate at least 20 shells, then you're able to trade them for outfit items.

It would've been really helpful if they put that information in the help section... -_- ...beemoov..

So if it rolls over to the next day when incomplete, does completing it the next day generate the new one for that second day? or is it that if you complete it one day, it won't generate the new one til the next day?

Nope, the new one won't generate until the next day.

Just found the second background (dark) so I guess the drop rate for them are pretty high as I found both of them within 2 days.

How have so many people found the backgrounds? The only items I've found are the ones for the minigame
and even then, the droprate for them is terrible for my legendary companion. I needed to use 2 small potions to find all the mini game items. I used a total of 160 energy searching 10 energy places. (I'd already used 70 energy before the event started. otherwise +2 potions would've been 230 energy)
It's not evolved yet, so its luck is around 300. Is that what's affecting my ability to find event items? Or are people with rare and epic companions finding stuff easily?

I cleared my cache and cookies right away before participating. Could it be the people who are easily finding stuff be people who DIDN'T do that?

the mini games are a little hard ngl but they are also really fun to play and i love the outfits

Did anybody get their special companion after buying manna/gold? I didn't get it yesterday... In that second I reported it but nothing happened. Does anybody have the same problem?

Oh and my companion didn't find anything event related, only the pieces we need to the companion game...

The background seems to change from day to night(or vice versa) and that causes the shells to glitch and instead of looking like they're moving they just blink which makes it a little harder to keep track of them. I don't think it has happened to me. Maybe is your conection? When mine is not too good and the page decides to chage the bg, sometimes it does weird things


So yesterday I almost wasn't able to find the bubles until the last minute, but today I'm only finding them. At least I have enough items for tomorrow's round.

You find them by exploration and it automatically gives them to it

For the items in that one you drag the items to different parts of his body. The sponge to its body, and the middle item to its face. I can't figure out where to drag the bubbles to either.

Finally my pet managed to bring back a background! The cherry one. But I already have it. Why can't we have more of the same item?

I don't know, the Island Olympics minigame is quite tough to get 2 shells for every 5 tries. Usually during the last 3-5 seconds - I failed to avoid the darn obstacle.

Am I the only one who thinks we couldn't finish the event?
(unless you excel with both minigames - with perfect scores every time and of course, if you've paid for more shells T_T)

You aren't, I also feels like it's impossible to finish the event for free

It's only the skin that is in one color, I think

So I got a warning for the mini games, it can happen that u hear the music double so when u play under your window of the game u are playing is like a double health bar, and it will automaticlly play , bear with me its kinda hard to explain , so u are playing your game in the first window, but on that second bar you are getting x es and game will count the fails as yours and will give you zero shells, cause the second bar is playing on its own and its failing

Thats how I lost 2 shells on the olympics game so TRY TO REFRESH THE GAME BEFORE THAT HAPPENS

This event is LIT

I'm not saying that just because I like mermaids-

OkMaybeIAmA-Little-

But this is really cool!

Granted the waiting time on the mini games is a bit, but the outfits are beautiful, the backgrounds really pop with that summer beach fantasy vibe,

my only down point, and this is just me being nostalgic/needy, is wishing the sea siren's dress and octopus skins from the year before last year's summer event were back on market.

Other then that, this event is really neat, and the mini games are really cute!
