I am one of those people who is extremely happy with the old items. Thank you!

Huh. First day of the event and I already got a dupe chest...I honestly wasn't expecting that this early. I hope this won't be a pattern
Also, as for the getting less chocolate coins in later explorations, I'm thinking maybe it's to even out the energy gaps of the different companions? For example, a companion with 90 energy and one with 150 energy, the 150 energy companion will bring back about 150 more coins due to being able to do more explorations. If this is the case, it's not exactly fair for players with rarer companions with more energy, but at least those with less energy don't feel they're losing out.

On my Hungarian account, it's past midnight, and I sent my companion to explore, and he got me 71 chocolate. Earlier he brought me 60-80 for a few rounds, then only 3-4. Now it was a larger amount again, so I guess there's a limit for a day.
And I saw another player post a screenshot where they showed their different companions' (from different accounts) luck and affection and how much chocolate they brought them, and the results were almost the same for all companions.

For 'Easter' outfits... I hate them.
For 'Halloween' outfits... I like them. So it's not a complete disappointment.
Also like how we're searching a map instead of the site. Site searching can be so exhausting despite not physically doing anything.

Whoops! That was what I meant. I was super unclear in that post, and I see how my post can be misunderstood. The "for example" meant IF we were to receive a high amount of coins each exploration, then the coins among all players would vary a lot more, but the devs wanted a day's worth of coins to be about the same no matter how much energy you have.
I don't know if this explanation made things clear either, but basically I think that the number of coins change with later explorations so that everyone can receive the same amount of coins in a day to make the event fairer for those with lower energy companions.

I got the nightmare necklace, and it's a pair of hands strangling your Elda. It makes me really uncomfortable.
Goodbye
It's been a pleasure serving in the guard with you all, but it's time for me to leave.
Hope you all have a wonderful time here in the lands of El.

I know, but I can't put away so easily the nauseousness I got from realizing what it was.
EDIT:
On another note, the amount of chocolate coins is linked to the boxes you open. I got more than 400 this time before opening boxes, and now I get 4-6 on each exploration. I'll continue testing tomorrow, not opening any boxes till the end of the day.

I had a very bad error just yet (on my german account).
I collected 200 chocolate chips to open 2 chests and I received the pair of shoes from the sleep wear outfit that I already have!
That's a terrible bug and I now have lost 100 chocolate chips for nothing
[The german forum is still down and I can't really report the bug there so I'm posting here]

You can just wait until the end of the event and put all the items you don't want in your closet into the attic. You'll still be able to sell them, and they won't be in your closet when you're changing your outfit.
Personally I like having the older items on the map to get more color variants.
I'm also pretty sure they did this event with almost all the previous years' item on the map for the people on other servers who lost all their stuff due to the fire.
Thanks, I'll give that a try.
Oh yes, good point, I hadn't thought of that, I haven't added up how many antique coins you'd need for everything, but some people might have run out before getting everything they wanted.
I can't work out how the chocolate coins work. I got given larger amounts again this morning.
I wonder if it's to do with how many explorations we've done each day?
Or if we all get the same amount each day so they make it less at the end of the day?

That does sound bad. They shouldn't add accesories that could be potentially triggering to people, especially stuff that linked to subjects that are violent/uncomfortable.
On the same note of uncomfortable stuff, I just realized that whilst the companion is very cute, it sends off a very disturbing vibe: Purekkos aren't technically cats (thing they stated clearly in one of the episodes, Purerru or whomever it was that told us that really getting angry by the fact we called them a "cat"), so having one as a pet, which we basically use for gaining objects and force to explore potentially dangerous places, in this context it is like actual slavery, since the Purekko himself is NOT a house pet. If that wasn't disturbing enough, what makes it even worse is that the companion is a BABY/CHILD Purekko, which hints to child slavery, a topic that is very disturbing.

I agree with you about the Purreko. It's been stated before that the Purrekos aren't companions either so it's a bit wierd how they decided to give us one as a companion. Then again I think it's very cute. Maybe they could've given us one as an accessory like they did with the penguin during the Christmas event.

Yeah, it would've made much more sense to have them as an accessory that accompanies Elda. After I noticed that offputing detail, I dunno if I'll ever use the lil Purekko as a companion since to me it just feels wrong. To me, since Purekkos are like sentient beings that are just like humans, I couldn't bear the thought of using a child to hunt for things and other companions.

You wouldn't send them to hunt for things, but you would let them play and explore, and when they find something interesting, they would bring it back to you to show you the treasure. You wouldn't be sending them to find staff for you, but you would let them play and they would find some interesting staff while out in the open. The reason why they're out exploring would be different, and it wouldn't look like you're using a child. They would be your little friend. And as the post said, you would adopt the little one, that means you would have to take care of them. Meaning feeding them, spending time with them, teaching them, and letting them enjoy their childhood.
At first glance, it does look like treating a child like a companion, which I don't agree with either, but it is possible to look at it differently if you want to.

One thing I've come to realize about the outfits is that I feel like they are more suitable for the MCL game. Of course I could still be able to use certain pieces from them but none of them are really my style. The halloween themed to the right is probably the one I like the best as a whole but it's just not very fitting the theme. Neither do the others tbh. Wish the outfits, or at least one of them could've been more easter-themed than these ones.
We've gotten some really nice outfits on LikeaFashionista that were easter themed which I really like. Since the site isn't been updated anymore I feel like they could've put a bit more effort and taking inspiration from some of the outfits they made for that game into this one. Considering the fire and the rebuilding of the European servers it's understandable the outfits are not really living up to the easter-themed standards we are used to see so I'm forgiving them for this one.
#67 05/21/2021 at 20:13
Are people really that bummed that the outfits aren't "on theme"
I've seen multiple people comment on disappointment in them "not being easter"
I for one just look for new outfits that are cool, cute or pretty. We definitely got 2 cool ones and one cute one. If we get the types of outfits people associate with Easter at some point during the year, just not necessarily easter, is there really any bad? I know people were saying the winter faerie was very easter themed.
I get the theme of the outfits, relating to children, the hero, the cozy loungewear, and the nightmare. I think the only thing missing in making it feel connected to the event as a whole is making the goals/story for the player more children centric. The outfits feel very much like parts of a children's story book. The hero, the villain, and the one reading the book.
I feel like if they're always expected to churn out "easter outfits" for the easter event we start to get a lot of the same stuff. Whereas this time I can say for certain that all 3 free outfits don't feel like they're too similar to anything they've made before.
I'd be fine with having this kind of outfit theme that relates the outfits to each other rather than having to specifically reference the specific holiday all the time. I will always take creativity over cohesion.

I came to see if anyone else was having the issue with decreased coins. Guess it's not just me. After two new items and two duplicates, I went from getting around 50 coins to 5 per exploration. Now I doubt I'll be able to get all of the outfits with this few coins.
Edit: After doing some math, at this rate, I'll be lucky to open 10 boxes by the end of the event.

There's an overall limit to coins every day. So once you reach the limit it drastically decreases for all explorations for the remainder of the day. But after the day restarts you'll get the higher amount of coins for your explorations again.Meimorie wrote

No one has calculated what the daily coin limits are that trigger the decrease, but it resets every day, allowing you to open 2-4 boxes a day, so 200-400 coins a day. If the amount of coins is not significantly higher during your first several explorations of the day then I would submit a ticket to support via email.
With only a total of 20 boxes to get all outfit pieces, and 10 days for the event, if you're opening more than 2 boxes a day you'll finish the event early.
I've yet to encounter a duplicate and have opened at least 6 boxes between yesterday and today, so I don't know how duplicates factor into all that. But I know the duplicates give you tickets which let you unlock pieces you haven't received yet. I assume if you save up those tickets for the end of the event, and wait to unlock whatever final items you haven't received yet, then you can make it less likely to receive more duplicates before then.

That's a relief that it resets daily. I suppose I'm having bad luck, because so far, I've gotten two new items, & three duplicates. The duplicates give 30 tickets each, & the items range in cost from 60 tickets to 261 tickets. So those three duplicates have amounted to one additional item (with a few tickets left over), bringing my new item total to three in two days.
Edit: To clarify, I mean to say that the tickets I've gotten would be enough to buy one additional item. I have not actually spent them yet, as I'm waiting to see which items I don't have at the end of the event.

I know people are complaining about the Hero and Nightmare outfits not being Easter themed, but we should give them a break. It's most likely because of the issues with the fire.
I have no interest in the Nightmare outfit (except for the eyes), I'm kind of meh on the Plushie one, and I don't spend real money so I won't be getting the Friend outfit, but I am really hoping to get the complete Hero outfit. I love the way they put the colour shift on the edges like she's just slightly phasing or glitching. Mostly interested in the gun and hair, but it's a cool outfit.
Does anyone know if it comes with an atmosphere (the blue screen/glitter bit) or is it just part of the presentation?

It does come with the atmosphere bit! That's the first item I got. And the different colors are really nice.

I haven't had any issues with chocolate coin drop rate.
I'm using an event legendary companion though (110 energy--it's evolving to an adult in a couple days) and haven't used any extra energy yet.
I have opened 10 boxes so far and haven't gotten any duplicate items yet.
For those who have an issue with using a "baby" Purreko as a companion--what did you think all your other companions were before you evolved them? (That is a rhetorical question--I do not need replies on this.)
And yes...the Nightmare outfit shouldn't be an Easter one; nor should they use that type of necklace anywhere (even if it's Halloween).
I originally thought they used the black/red outfit in the main picture to "hide" some gruesome things on the outfit itself...that you won't see until the color variations to choose your color.
But then I saw the "necklace" hands, and yeah, that just needs a button to delete from inventory all together.
I haven't gotten that item yet...but definitely not looking forward to that one. This Nightmare outfit really is a nightmare overall...no pun intended.

Your retorical question is purely insensitive at best: I and others too already stated that the issue is that Purekkos ARE NOT COMPANIONS! Even the main story made sure to shove it in our faces that Purekkos are sentient being similar to humans, they are like a different spiecies of human like beings and not some random animals, so having a Purekko child as a companion, aka a HOUSE PET, is a concept that's just wrong all together! It's as if having a human child as a house dog that you train to bring you stuff and that's why to me it feels like a hint to child slavery. So comparing the Purekko to all the other companions in their baby forms is like comparing a human baby to a kitten or puppy: it's not the same thing! While it can be ethical to train your dog/cat to do stuff and that'd fit in this game narrative as the companion is practically Elda's house pet so it makes sense that she might've trained it to do the explorations and bring back objects as a result, it's unethical using a creature similar to a human for the same purpose, especially by sending them to places that have stated within their descriptions that they are high risk dangerous places (which in itself always seemed a creepy addition to the game since when we send our companions to explore, we don't play battle stuff or anything like that similar to Pokemon, so why even bother having the details that your companion might be in danger when you send them there?)
I do appreciate some of the replies from other people who stated that you can view the Purekko child as your adopted child/ you are their guardian and them exploring would be similar to you letting them play around and while they are outside they can find stuff they might see as cool/interesting and bring back home as a bonus, but I definitly wouldn't send them to the dangerous places on either of the game's exploration maps. Yeah, I know, it's just a game, but even so, we shouldn't excuse the mockery or minimisation of real life issues, since child labor and child slavery are still a very real life disturbing problem in poor countries, where they use the small ones for dangerous activities, like mining color pigment powders from narrow, risky mines.
