Blobbiathan is amazing!
Loved this event, but then again I had maana saved up in advance so I didn't have to spend forever exploring. Either way this was my favorite event so far.

The illustrations are all very pretty too, though I'm not a fan of having to do the mini-events (collecting outfits, illustrations, and companion) in a specific order. Personally with every event, my main focus is usually the outfits. So when I'm working on finishing them, my companion is exploring for the illustration pieces and if I finish it (I usually do), it's like a nice little bonus in the mean time. They don't hold much "value" to me, as they're nice to have and I can always go look at them, but I can't use them like I can companions or outfit pieces. I know there are others who also don't really like collecting everything and making them do everything just to get to the one thing they want can be a bit frustrating. However, this particular event's story line wouldn't really work without the mini-events being structured the way they are, so despite being a bit annoying, its understandable at least.
I've got to admit, I'm really not a huge fan of the maana it costs to make the companion, but alchemy is always expensive. It just makes it hard for those of us who don't hoard maana (such as myself) to progress. I'm really happy they didn't make alchemy the central focus of the event, and the companion seems worth the effort/cost.
Since I haven't played the second mini-game (I'm still trying to do the alchemy) I can't really say much on it, but the first worked smoothly for me. It was pretty easy (which is absolutely fine) but it got kind of boring after the first few days of only being able to collect one illustration piece for free a day. Regardless, it's nice to have a working mini-game.
Update: I've now played the second mini-game and it runs smoothly as well, but the aiming is rather challenging. I assumed it would be like the first in that we would only get one fragment a day, but since we get a fragment with each successful shot, I find the tedious aiming a lot more tolerable. Truthfully I just wish it had more predictable movements.
It really seems like they tried to do a little something for everyone this year, and I can definitely respect that! It's impossible to please everyone, and I certainly have my nitpicks, but overall I think this event is great. The outfits are lovely, the illustrations are nice, and the companion is amazing.

In most of the events the outfits will use a new tone of gold, and when you try and put together all the different gold items you've collected they just look mismatched.
For example:
And don't get me started on the many different shades of pink used in each event. Sometimes I feel like Eldarya's artists are intent on going through every possible shade before they re-use their palettes.
I know this is such a petty thing to complain about but I only play Eldarya for the dressing up aspect of the game. I go for a baby pink + gold theme. It prevents me from feeling tempted to buy all the different colour variations of outfits, helps me save money. I collect event exclusive items in those specific colours as they should, theoretically, go together with all my other pink + gold items. I should be able to create cohesive outfits. I can't. Sucks.

Apparently so.

Pros:
- Easy-to-play minigames
- Gorgeous and easily obtainable outfits
- The fact that you can find more outfit pieces even after finishing the task/event
- THE COMPANION. It's so awesome that Blobby and Blobbette will finally be able to evolve and be useful
- The length of the event
- The beautiful backgrounds in the store (and the fact that you can buy one of them with maana!)
- The event is not centred around alchemy
Cons:
- The drop rate seemed to be smaller for the Fancy Mermaid outfit than the Fearless Captain outfit, taking a lot longer to obtain the pieces for it
- Alchemy. I am still glad that there was significantly less alchemy in this event than the last, but I still do not enjoy it
- It was a little hard to aim in the second mini-game, but it was doable.

FINALLY DONE
I really really enjoyed this event,
it looks like the developers finally knew what the players want from events and they delivered.
The Blobiathan is absolutely gorgeous, the final outfit MAJESTIC, I legit have no complaints even tho there was an alchemy part were I spent lots of maana but it was worth it *-*
I really hope they keep making events like these and not absolute disasters like the previous two events.

Yeah, some people were saying the drop chance is low but it really just depends on how lucky you are. The darn thing is so painfully expensive it's not worth buying.
Also @Nimri @Diamond thank you both for the tips, I got the remaining 4 points I needed and finished the event <3
I loved how you could see the entire outfit while picking colors. I hope we can keep this feature.

Plus
+ Minigames were easy enough and quite fun.
+ Outfit. Really pretty pirate outfit, and mermaid outfit was good because there was details. Not just some boring Disney tail.
+ Pet. Finally got something useful from those lazy fishes. That "Leviathan" looks amazing!
+ Time. I hate when events are so short, but this was long enough so people could win even if they can't play every day.
+ Pictures were really pretty.
Minus
- Alchemy. I'm still not huge fan of alchemy, and 400 maanas is a bit too much. But I'll survive.
- Colors. When looking for ingridients, we can't choose the color we want, and that's quite bad.
- This is purely on me, but when we have two-colored items, black is almost everytime paired with red. I personally don't like it at all. Why always red?
On and all, really good event. I don't have much of a bad saying about it. Not this time.

Can't believe I didn't notice your comment earlier but I completely agree with everything you said! Just a while ago I was trying to find enough gold pieces with the same tone for my current outfit with barely any luck. It's unbelievable how many gold tones they use, as well as tones for other colours.

I don't love how pinpoint accurate you have to be on the blobiathan feeding game. Though it's less irritating since you get an illustration piece for every successful feeding. Rather than do the thing once a day for one piece like the other minigames

Wish making the companion wasn't so dang expensive. Most likely I'm not going to get it.

If you need an extra boost, you could sell items you're not using/bindle items, too.
I hope that helps!

Really sad I missed the April Fool's Day stuff so I can't really... participate past a certain point. Would have loved to have gotten those blobbs eggs and make this weird critter.

Even the gold fins that are meant to match the gold tail don't match. I was so upset after I bought the "matching" gold fins on the market...only to realize they are wildly different once I put them on.
Do they not even use the same palette between items in the same set? Wild.

Arghhh.. I'm still confused and indecisive with the Queen of Cups outfit!
Why are the variations sold in gold coins?
I need more than one.. T_T

Not sure if it is a recent laggy problem but usually when I experienced the same problem, my internet connection is weak.
If there's no problem with your internet connectivity, maybe you can try posting in the Assistance thread.

Sorry if this was asked already and I'm unaware of it, but why won't the alchemy part of the event work for me? I collected all the necessary ingredients and have all the maana and everything, but when I click create, nothing happens. The button is still grey.
Never mind! Larjus has helped me. Thank you so much!

Did you choose the eggs you're using? When you have them, you have to click their icons and then choose the ones you're gonna use in alchemy (I think it's because if you have several you can pick which one you're gonna lose). Only after that you can crate Blobbiathan.

Ohhh, I really loved this event. The illustrations, the story, the suits (loved the pirate one <3), THE BLOBBIATHAN. Oh, God, I loved this quetzalcoatl-like familiar <3 <3 <3
Even though some parts felt a little frustrating because of the slowness, like the exploration in order to get the mermaid outfit (and when you found a piece, it was in all colours but not in the one you wanted... but still thank you for the posibility to sell them (?)). Anyway, beside that, the whole event was really enjoyable. I hope you continue making this type of events (not like the alchemy ones... we hate them).

Spend 1192 Maana to proceed with the event ... what kind of sick joke is that.
Is this supposed to be fun?
#249 09/01/2019 at 18:33
I loved this event!
It was easy enough to find the items for the outfits and I like that we can still get variations of the pirate and mermaid even when we were further along with the event.
I’m so happy that we could find the evolution potion through exploration and weren’t forced to spend manna on alchemy (though I will miss my blob fishies).
It was a great idea to be able to pick the cup outfit item colors piece by piece, although I bout most of them from the same set, it was still really nice to have the freedom.
Now I’m off to buy more variations and wait excitedly for the Halloween event!
