hhhhm, for some reason the controls on the minigame don't match up to my arrow keys, like they go in the opposite direction or something, because I cant figure them out at all! I was gonna keep it to myself, but seeing so many others have had problems with this, I feel it's a valid concern. In my humble opinion, I'm more partial to the scavenger-hunt or familiar search type events, or at least a slightly less (no necessarily difficult, that's not the issue) confusing game. :)

this Event had ALOT of cool outfits, and a creative backstory to boot!
Though I must say...the click-the hearts mini game is so FRUSTRATING XC but I guess you jsut have to have fast reflexes to pass it?
though the awesome outfits still more then make up for it, especially this Rose and Swords ensemble..I am HOOKED <3
Can never go wrong with roses of all colors

@Shaei
If it helps, I'm pretty sure the right arrow key moves the shield clockwise, and the left arrow key moves it counter-clockwise. (That means that when the shield is at the bottom of the orb, it'll move in the opposite direction of the arrow you're pressing.)
@Yerimoto
Thanks for the tip! It's nice to know the extra days also mean more dialogue points. ^-^

I prefer the hearts mini game over the shield, the physics of the shield are way off and always make me panic when I play. I LOVE the outfits, but since there's two to three opportunities to get points everyday I don't see myself finishing without paying...which I have been doing because I really love the Valkyon outfit and wanted to make sure I complete it. But I like the concept of the event overall and I love the outfits.

I have a suggestion for Beemoov if they decide to do this again.
Make a difficulty level ranging Easy, Medium, Hard or something like that. The easier the player chooses for the shield game, for example, the less points are rewarded. But at least the player can get some points. Hard will give many more points, but, obviously, it's harder and more for people who excel at the type of game.
That way, there's a way of making it easy for inexperienced players, but still more fun for players who are skilled at the type of game that Beemoov puts out, and those who are seeking a challenge.

I doubt very much they will make anything easier. If the event is too difficult and there are people willing to pay for these events then they will leave the format as is. At least the MCL games aren't as difficult and you get AP per day, unlike this game where you might get a GC in one of the Puro packs. This game was built to make money unfortunately, and yes I've bought in the past because with arthritis in both hands and severe anxiety these games are getting worse and worse for me. This event will be the last time I spend money because it's built for people to do badly enough that they can't get everything and so they spend.
It's sad though, I enjoy the story of this game, not just the events, but when a company as a whole is clearly only interested in making money it puts a damper on the game. It's not just the events, it's even capturing companions because it's not a guarantee to get them and some of those items are pretty expensive. So for this fan, I'm going to completely stop spending real money on it, no matter how nice the outfits look because it's clearly their only goal. All these people have had issues with this event, myself included, not one response from the developer other than an extension in the event. I mean maybe when they test the events before releasing them get people from all age brackets and walks of life to test them as not everyone is built to play the games they offer for their events and maybe, just maybe they'll realize that
#332 02/21/2018 at 02:40
I finally managed to win the mini game and to get all the points for a change. I'm not halfway through the event, which means that I have 15/ 30 of the items. Can someone PM me and tell me how the last battle with the masked man works? I know what kind of game it is but I'm wondering if you have only one chance a day or if you can try it as many times as you want.

The goal of any company is to make money. That really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. Also providing all these things for us costs them money. I really don't understand where this unappreciative attitude on this forum is coming from. Maintaining a website is not free, and during the events they need to code a whole new stuff and draw new outfits, that means more work, which means more costs. Beemoov is a business and they need to not to only gain back what they've spent on the events but also gain revenue.
I think everyone should keep in mind that this game did not just fall free from the sky. You would pay for example Pokemon/Mario game to be able to play it, why should this game be any different? And there still is the option to play for completely free. I was able to get a lot of parts of outfits without using any coins and so has many others. I'ts very unfortunate if you have a problem with your hands but that's why we get different kinds of events every time. I personally think the Halloween/Christmas events have been very generous and sometimes we get events that are less generous because it wouldn't be profitable if all the events were the same.
EDIT// I just think it's common sense that when you play for free you might not get "the full experience" but when you do pay you can enjoy all features of the game.

I'll post it here again for those who missed it:
I calculated the whole bunch and without the extra days you could get 150 for the dialogue, if you want to get all the boys this mean 50 points per guy. The mini game that appears every three days appears 5 times in total if I'm correct which means 75 for each boy. If you did all the dialogue correctly you only need 25 points in the shield game? Which means that you'll have 125 point in total with every guy. I could totally do this wrong since I had a 3/ 10 or my math exam xD
But if I am correct this would me the whole event less stressful, I think.

First of all,
The main objective to play a game is for fun.
This event is nothing but unfun.
Plenty players also think the recent stories are unfun too
Secondly,
The goal of any company is to make money. ✔
A good company will listen & cater to customers' needs ✘
Thirdly,
The rate to play the event minigames without hiccups = nearly zero.
Fourthly,
I really don't understand where this unsympathetic attitude towards other unlucky players is coming from.
I lost the chance to play the once-every-3-days worth 45 points because of the minigame freezes.
Lastly,
We like Eldarya, we like its events, we like the outfits so much.
We just dislike this particular event because of its faulty mechanism.

This event has been wonderful, really, with all the beautiful attires to add inside of our guardians' closet. However, I seemed to have landed on a problem just a few minutes ago. As usual, I did my daily dialogue with one of the boys (Nevra) in the event and the question that I received was a repeated one that I had answered correctly before. Unfortunately, my point decreases from 7/10 to 6/10 despite answering it right. So, I am disappointed regarding losing my point over a correct answer and I do not know what action should I take for this matter? :///

Of course a game should be fun, but having fun does not equal to "I should get every piece of outfit for free". I think having a challenge IS fun. I understand if you are not good at the minigames, of course it's frustrating, but the minigames aren't the only way to get the outfits. You can get very far with just the dialogues just like Vorona said.
If the minigame is not working properly then yes, that is a valid reason to complain. I'm sure the team is trying their best to figure it out.
#338 02/21/2018 at 05:10
I think that many are unhappy with the game becoming more pay to win because that's not that what they signed for and not what they expected based on their experience with other Beemoov games.
Even though I've spent real money on this game I did this because I've played (and payed for) Beemoov games for years without feeling like it's anything like those mobile games where you get annoyed over and over again if you don't pay and where you can throw hundreds of dollars a month and still be far from feeling that's enough. I've given up on even trying such games (and have never spent real money on them) because I don't want to end up being a gaming whale.
I think that many people are afraid that Eldarya might go down the path of these games. To be honest, I was uneasy about joining this game at first because it's clearly made in a way that makes you want to spend real money more - they have the log in every couple of hours games/exploration that are annoying to people who have full time jobs and can log in only once/twice a day and they feel like they miss out unless they spend real money. And there is a special currency that is almost impossible to obtain without real money. But still - you can have enough maana to play the episodes even by logging in once a day and that's kind of the main thing about this game. Playing dress up when you don't have access to all items without paying is another story but still you can have everything by spending less than 20 dollars an event. That is of course only if you registered early on because the game will be very pricey to those who register in a couple of years and want to catch up (look at the price of maana in the bank!)
I think that Eldarya is still far from becoming like those mobile games but I can see why this event worries players who don't pay or don't want to pay lots of real money.
I don't blame Beemoov for trying to make their games more profitable, they offer a lot - the art here is amazing, the story (even if far from perfect) obviously takes lots of effort unlike the content of many other games on the net. What they really need to fix is the many bugs that always appear and test things better before making them available to players and also be careful about not making the game much more pricier than it is now.
#339 02/21/2018 at 05:59
They're going to go with whatever is more profitable for them regardless of the players' feelings. It's deliberate, really. I mean, Ashkore's game is absolutely ridiculously done. The time limit is too short for the amount of pages you have to go through, and I find having to continually lift my finger to move the cursor on my laptop to the necessary position slows me down too much. Their 'hard work' on events is NOT for the players' sake or to give them nice things for playing their game, it's for their own profit in order to bait people into giving them money. Otherwise, why make it difficult? Why make it a challenge? There's no justifying deliberate scams. I find it hard to believe they're actually struggling and desperate for money considering the amount of players worldwide for each game they have who are ponying up dough for this stuff. I'm sorry but things are growing to be ridiculous at this rate. They'll run off their own players and have no one to blame but themselves.

@Raine Halloween and Christmas events were easy. They cannot give us everything for free. If that frustrates you that much, then maybe this game isn't for you.
Some of us can appreciate a challenge, others, well...
Also, Beemoov has closed other servers because they weren't profitable enough.

A challenge is one thing, rigged is another. Much like carnival games. As someone who clearly isn't on the losing end you really don't have a right to tell anyone else anything. Even though I got the outfits myself, unlike SOME people I actually feel sympathy for others. Considering they're already trying to rip players off by charging TEN mana for ONE move and designing the game to be aimless wandering in order to waste it, making the good outfits only available through GC as well as charging ridiculous mana prices for everything else, scamming hardly seems justifiable. No one said it had to be FREE, just not designed to reward expendable income ONLY. You're vastly outnumbered in your own opinion, makes one wonder why you're so eager to defend Beemov.

Halloween & Christmas also had exclusive outfits for GC purchase only, which they could have easily done again for Valentine's (along with the past outfits) if they wanted people to invest more money.
If their business model isn't working, then perhaps they should focus on not alienating their current user base (many of whom regularly and happily put in a few dollars whenever they can) and making content that would make us want to spend money. People spend money when they're happy. Those who can't spend the money & become frustrated just leave the site and will lose BM advertising revenue, and that's not mentioning those who feel like they are being scammed and won't spend money now on principle.
It's equally important for BM to hear and understand why their fanbase is upset as it is why they are happy. But to be honest, it is dismaying that they rarely seem to reply to anything that is said or suggested in the forums.
I personally think this is a decent event. I haven't had issues with it and I expect to complete it well before the original end date. However, the number of issues people have had and continue to have with the minigame, with very little response from BM, is disappointing.
If the event is supposed to be difficult, that is one thing. But a little transparency about the process, especially if it is changing from what we have experienced in the past (where most people who logged in every day had a decent chance of completing the event), would go a long way.

I get that Beemoov wants to make a profit out of it. In fact, if I had to run a company, I would've doen the same thing too. The thing that just disappoints me is that you could say that Beemoov didn't make games that were this profitable in the beginning. They hosted events that were not easy and not hard either and quite manageable as long as you log in every day (With this I mean the music event ect) it was easy to know if you were going to make it or not.
By making an event that has way too many bugs in the beginning and also having the problem that the mini-game where you can get 15 points per boy had huge bugs, you can't expect players to be satisfied with an extension of just two days. Because if everything bugged, they missed 35 points in total per boy. As you may know, you need some time to practice for the companion game too, which means that you need at least two days to complete it. By giving only two days of extension the player can get only 20 points extra (The dialogue points are excluded in both of these calculations) which kind of gives players the feeling that they're being ripped off. Not to mention that I never heard someone saying that the team actually made up for the problem by giving them points ect. (I might have missed it though sine I'm not on the forum 24/7)
Again, I get it. I would try to make a profit too as a company. And the team worked really hard on it and I really appreciate their efforts. But the players who've had bugged mini- games have every right to be mad if you ask me.
And the whole not making a profit on other servers was kind of their own fault if you ask me. Especially if you know what happend on the Dutch server and who caused it. Because our admin caused 90% of all the problems there and everyone stopped playing because she didn't help players at all and only bothered them. And admin has to be online at least twice a week if you ask me. Well, this admin came once a month and when she was online, she went to people their private conversations, exposed these on the forum (specially if these were complaints) and didn't want to make mods out of players simply because she didn't like them.
I can't say it enough times, but I do know how much work it actually is to keep a game going. And I do appreciate their efforts. I just don't think that this is a successful event and I personally think that the players with the heart mini- game that bugged have the right to be angry.

The dislike of this event,in my humble opinion, mostly stems from a little thing called bug.
The daily mini-game freezes for people, the screen is black, etc. It is buggy. This is from a player who experienced the bug more than once. I'm not even complaining about the difficulty of that thing. The bug is the issue.
The boss game which happens every 3 days and gives you 15 points at once (if you pass it ) is not bug-free either. Again, this comes from someone who experienced a lag, freeze and glitch with the feature during this event. On more than one server.
I'd say this event mostly checks the "bug" area.
#347 02/21/2018 at 11:29
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Maybe some of us understand Beemoov's way of thinking but others (including me) don't.
AND - for the love of god - I'd really appreciate it if people would STOP telling others to stop playing this game just because they disagree with something Beemoov does.
It's really stupid and only leads to more disputes...
We're allowed to criticize this game as much as we want to and as long as we're reasonable about it.
This place would probably be EMPTY if everyone would literally quit over every little thing they disagree with.
Look at me for example. I literally dislike most parts of the main story, hate all 3 Guard Leaders + Miiko, the plot holes and weak "plot-device"-moves/stunts annoy the living hell out of me and don't even get me started on Ep 13 & 14... In addition to that I'll get completely screwed over by Ep 18 as someone who's aiming for Leiftan. And yet, I'm still here. And I'm going to stay as long as I want to.
It's not like I WANT to dislike this game. I really love the side characters, companions and clothes. I'm even thinking about being more active in the forum because some of you seem very nice...
I also loved the last Christmas Event, it was an event I was WILLING to pay for, because I really liked the outfits (I bought the beautiful wig my Gardienne is currently wearing).
If I'm presented something nice I'm willing to give them my money.
But this event clearly rubbed many the wrong way and I personally understand the outrage. I was furious at the beginning, too, since I also had issues with the Shield Game. I've obviously calmed down a bit but I really feel bad for those who still have problems playing this event and I'm definitely not going to buy Gold Coins for it this time.
But that's just my two cents...
I also completely agree with @Vorona

First people (not referring to you) try to threat Beemoov saying things like "Everyone are going to leave this site" and then when you suggest them to leave they suddenly don't want to? Hmm...
People are taking it way too harsh, is what I'm saying, and they should stop and breath a little before commenting with empty threats.
Critizing the game is fine and welcome, but there is a difference between critique and blatant "this event sucks and I hate it and Beemoov is scamming."

You have good points although I don't completely agree with everything.
I still think that even if this event wasn't for everyone people should not get mad about it (except for the bugs), since there will be other events in the future and they will most likely be different.

I agree that maybe some are a bit too harsh when criticizing - I think I'm guilty of that, too, on certain topics in this game (the potion, ayyy) - but a lot of players are still suffering from bugs. Having the Mini-Game freeze on them is really not acceptable and just frustrating. I don't know the average age of the players here - I'm in my 20s - but I suspect that most are around ~15? I can only imagine how angry I would've been if I had played a bugged event like this back then... I also wouldn't be surprised if there's a group of young players who're not allowed to spent money on this game, so I can really feel the frustration. Again, considering the age of some players, I can somehow understand that some comments sound rather mean even though it's not the right way to go about things...
Actually... I'd really like to know if the Admins are helping them out?
And about the 'stop-playing-then'-thing. This is something that bugs me personally. I'm on tumblr and sometimes receive 'anon-asks' telling me 'to-just-stop-playing' whenever I post a negative opinion about this game.
@JanineR1998
Probably just really bad luck... I'm having a similar problem on my german account (I only found 1 piece of the illu there).
